Weathers:
70 tomorrow. Snow on Sunday.
There’s a lot on the calendar so get out your day planner and get to planning:
This Friday Chad Kouri brings you ‘Get It Together Again‘ at the Cultural Center. Show up and get to cutting and pasting.
This show is later that evening. It looks like the opening is going to be a madhouse so I plan to get there early and get out while the gettings good. I’m glad I got to be a part of this project. It’s been a lot of fun.
Next Saturday the band that will save Rock N Roll is playing at Quenchers. Come see the Party Downers shred.
The next day there’s an opening for a show with the multitalented Porous Walker. I just heard about this and it doesn’t look like I can make so take some pictures for me if you can.
This is an early warning. Alex and Alberto are going to be making some mischief over at SecondBedroom April 10th.
Like I said, it’s going to be a busy spring.
Here are some things that happened previously:
These fine industrious individuals organized the first annual Chicago Zinefest.
I sat at the Parking Block Publishing table.
Marco was there with Golden Age. The store has just reopened in its new location. Stop by and say hi.
Loucifer stopped by to pick up some copies of Skate Trips From Hell.
Calabro showed up and did a little comparison.
Nick Peterson also came by to pick up copies of his new zine, Desperate But Not Serious.
Alex showed up with a crew.
Lots of good dudes getting their lurk on. Thanks to everyone who came by and all the good people I met. I made some sales and some great trades. It’s always inspiring to see people getting it done and getting it out there. I’m already looking forward to next year.
Your eyes aren’t betraying you, that’s Charlie. Here he is helping spread the water on crutches. It was great to see him. I hope his foot is healed and he’s ready for action.
I crushed this meal. Ribs, mac and cheese, slaw and fries at Smoque. Clean plate champ.
I’m running as fast as I can.
