Weather:
It’s rained for too long. I’m starting to bug out.

This is long and if you keep up with me on Flickr it’ll be slightly redundant but you’ll get a little added commentary and that’s certainly worth the price of admission.

First here are a few daily reads you should probably add to your bookmarks:

  • Lisa Romero has serious pen and brush skills and after months of hard work she’s finished up a new zine for Parking Block. It should be folded and stapled shortly.
  • Shawn Whisenant also just finished up a new zine. You can find it at Printed Matter.
  • Brad Westcott spent the summer hoboing up and down the west coast. Get inspired.
  • TJ Larsen went on a taco tour of the east coast. Lots of spot spotting and street shredding.

These are things that happened:

Anders Nilsen - Big Questions

Anders recently released the giant “Big Questions” book. You should pick one up. He had a book release/q and a thing at Lulas. Tons of people. Great art. Awesome times. I never got to ask him about this piece. I wanted to know if he used a spyrograph.

Anders at Lula

Anders is currently on a worldwide tour so if he comes to your town go to the signing, take him to some spots, buy him a beer.

Dude Life Boards

The new Dude Life boards are here! Ryan did the wheel logo and I did the Studs Terkel guest model. Anders did a graphic as well. Here are a couple other things I drew up that may resurface as stickers or shirts in the future.

Lou performing

Lou’s show is up and running. He’s having a second opening tomorrow if you can make it out. Stop by and pick up his new zine, his new CD and enjoy some live music.

Weather:
Today is the first day of fall or maybe it’s the last and tomorrow’s the first. I’m not sure but fall is here.

I’m not posting any pictures up today. If you don’t want to wait for the next post you can check my Flickr. I try and put things up there daily. A long picture filled post? Probably next week or maybe sometime in October. For now here are a few videos to start your weekend off.

I think everyone agrees that Scott is a talented skateboard pilot. This was filmed in a few hours early in the summer. (youtube link)

I didn’t film too much non-BB promo stuff this year but I definitely got out a lot. This is some random stuff from a few szechuans during the summer. (youtube link)

I just celebrated a birthday and my bodies feeling the age. Back in December I broke my wrist and I started to think that my days might be numbered. This summer I spent most of my time away from Wilson just pushing around. It was an outstanding summer. (youtube link)

I’m working on one more video project this fall and then all of my attention turns to the annual holiday mailer. Any suggestions for this year? Let me know.
