There’s two new puzzles in the tinker section. Please view them at your leisure. There’s one more I need to scan and send so that’ll be up next week. I finished my two pictures for the “Love will…” show. I’m happy enough with how they turned out. I’ll post them when the show goes up in August. I’ll let you know more when I hear about it. The only other thing going on right now is the “Favorite Imaginary President Project.” Click the link to learn more or the perma-link over there at the side. I encourage everyone and anyone to send something in and have fun with it. If you know someone who’d be interested then please pass it along. So far I’ve gotten a pretty healthy response and the first completed picture. The other thing I’m working on is still developing but it looks to have some promise so hold your thumbs and cross your toes. Good stuff all around.
The July 4th holiday? Thunderstorms here and there, a decent amount of sweating, and not enough Twilight Zone marathon watching. Mostly mellow and family filled.
Saturday Frog was over at Wilson. He’s been sharpening his board piloting in Arizona. I took some janky footage of him smith grinding and sweeping and once I figure out how to stick it up somewhere I’ll post a link. It’s always good to see old friends.
That afternoon Eric and Kate hosted a pretty swell afternoon of charred food and croquette. The older I get, the more people have kids. The competion was pretty serious. Chad brought coozies.
After being eliminated it was on to the folk fair where the lines were long and the crowd was claustrophobic. Kids and more kids. Kids by the bucketful.
The enchillada booth was brutal.
Sunday after the early session with the usual suspects I headed to Lincoln Park and found this plaque. It seems pretty improbable but there is this plaque on a rock so that gives it some credibility.
Then I found this random sculpture. For some reason they just stuck it between the horseshoe pits and the street in a random stretch of grass were dogs get walked and joggers jog. I liked that it was just sitting there.
Met up with Tasha and headed to one of my favorite places in the world, the Lincoln Park zoo. It’s free, they have a good variety of very nice animals, and it makes me happy to visit with my favorites. Here is the one armed Bossman.
Not the best picture. The owl with one eye. He watched us the whole time.
Here is a painting Mark just finished. He’s on midnights again.
This weekend I’m making my own hot sauce.
