can’t turn you loose

Weather:
Without a doubt the best winter. Why update when I can be outside?

Such Luck is on a temporary hiatus. If you want to see updated pics check flickr.

Until the next post here are a few things to check out:

In the past few months two solid local cinemotographical efforts have been released. Chity does a good job of capturing nights downtown. Nagajoose gives you the right mix of glitch, blood and pizza. Don’t wait for youtube. Do yourself a favor and get the dvd (or the Nagajoose VHS) and watch it on your tv.

Tim Johnson appears in both vids. He recently revamped his website. Pick a zine or one of his prints there.

K E. Bleier also put out an outstanding zine. She sent over a copy wrapped in a map. Hit her up or go to Quimbys to get your copy.

Parking Block has a pretty full slate of releases coming out. Look for new zines by Dan Boulton and Brad Westcott by the end of the month. One Giant Arm has interviewed quite a few past and future Parking Block photogs and FPV homies. Get to know Sam, Brad, Dan, Tubbs and Eric a little better.

In the art world there’s four shows in the next few weeks that you should add to your calendar.
Short Court at Antenna curated by the always forward thinking Tag Team on February 10th.
Play at Believe Inn opening on February 24th.
Matthew Hoffman does what he does best at Public Works on March 2nd
– The next night you can check out some of my work in the one night show/zine release for "Can’t Grow Up" at the Co-Prosperity Sphere

Here’s what I’ve been watching as I drink my coffee and gear up to head out. Jimmy McDonald, Kevin Coakley and Dave Abair’s prolific output.

Heading south for a short break. Looking for ditches.
