Weather:
It’s cold for some reason. Okay not really cold but I did wear long sleeves the other day which is unusual in July.
The big news this week is that the first 2 zines from Parking Block Publishing are now available! Please take a look and pass along the information to anyone you think would be interested.
Our old friend Ricky started a new venture out in Colorado: What the Stuff? Perfect for your friends with kids or your friends who act like kids.
Next Friday, July 31st there’s a couple of must see’s: This Public Works and Mating Call at Believe Inn. Get your art lurk on and hit them both.
These things happened:
I’ve been working on art for the Not Myself show and I’m keeping that under wraps. I did do this. Not sure what Steve’s doing with it but I had fun cutting it.

Tom’s back! I saw him at the big demonstration at the Wilson skate rink

Gordon was there with his Coleman cooler turning the dogs on the grill.

Demented Illustrator.

Joe.

Chris on his 21st birthday. I hope he took the “no 21 shots” advice to heart.

One of the hundred sandwich options at Jerry’s. I shouldn’t have gotten the weird mayo. Sometimes it’s just too much.

Chris Smith has an amazing installation up on 31st Street.

Well done my friend.

I’ve always loved the ending of Akira and I think he does the epic scale justice.

I tried my best but a still photograph doesn’t really cut it.

You really need to get down there so you can see it moving and changing for yourself. Kick ass!

Wow Bao. Just throwing in some food pics to break up the art/skate talk. I wish there were more Wow Baos around. It’s reasonable and filling.

Last Friday we headed over to Second Bedroom for the opening of That You Can Carry by Allison Yasukawa. Again the pictures don’t do it justice.

You really need to hear the voices to get the full experience.

Nick Peterson was in the Medicine Cabinet.

Top notch as always.

I hear he has a zine coming out soon.

I see this weird mural everyday. Cross-eyed, front font all the way on the nose steez.

Speaking of insanely creepy.

I haven’t had as much time as I’d like but I do try and make it count when I go out.

Nick with a front 5 after his opening but before ruining his ankle.

Ryan, back 5. After this we headed to Devon for Indian food.

Gnarly Tom getting gnarly.

Nick brick flip.

After some good street skating and Indian food I had this guy tattoo me. He killed it.

Why do they make it smell so wonderful if they don’t want you inhaling it?

Kinda tired tonight. I’m really looking forward to getting rested.
