Weather:
Cooler and then hot. Probably some rain in there sometime. No complaints.
Chris Smith, the dirty wizard behind the Second Bedroom and Medicine Cabinet gallery spaces, has been getting some great press. He debuts new work this Friday. From what I’ve heard, it’s going to be a doozy! I’m psyched!
Here’s an early warning for the end of August. I kinda think the flyer looks like a test, “One of these things is not like the others, one of these things just doesn’t belong.” No worries, I got some new tricks up my sleeve, so get ready to get surprised.
Here are some occurrences:

Hobo suit and shoes for potential interviews.

Next Friday Nick Peterson is in the Medicine Cabinet. Here he puts down a back d. Click on the click for a different version.
Sweet Loucifer is heading back out on the road for another round of giant concrete skating and camping in the northwest. Get back to Wilson safely soon.

Ah Munna Eat Choo! I think Scott’s goosing her.

This is from that one weekend where I was real into the Flash Gordon soundtrack.
This is the ad that bugs me this week. I spotted it on the bus. I’m fine with the extreme marketing but I’ve seen enough BMXing to know that this guy is photoshopped in. The angles all wrong. This makes it look like he’s jumping over the quarterpipe. I could be wrong. Maybe it’s a weird 360 or something but I’d have to assume if you showed it to anyone who knows anything they’d probably agree with me.

One of my favorite dishes, Szechuan (sesame) Crispy Chicken (or beef or shrimp, in this case chicken) from Papajin. (you used to be able to get it at Mars before it closed)

Dipped cones for the DQ.

We stopped by Believe Inn to check out the David Horvitz opening.

He’s got expansive relatable enjoyable ideas.

La Pasadita. Not my favorite, that still goes to El Asadero. Steak tacos.

Unwrap em.

Hit em with the green sauce.

Good to go.

With a sign like this you know hot nights are on their way.

On July 3rd we started celebrating a bit early. First we filled up at Smoque. Then we headed over to Novelty Golf.

Sit on it.

Participant 1.

Participant 2.

We broke this limit a few times. Danzig was not pleased.

Instructional signage.

Luckily it was pretty empty although a family with a small child almost lapped us.

Ambushed!

Another rule broken.

Bizarro snoopy?

The mermaid hole.

My high school’s mascot but this one has some kind of hypno-lazer eye.

Novelty Golf inspired lots of talking in old timey voices.

The silent movie villain robbed me of my free game.

I actually failed on this one and get the pencil.

To the batting cages.

Taking a few swings.

My turn.

Wait, this is at this children’s fun zone?

So of course we tried it out.

Sure why not.

Lifepartner.

Incorrect.

I’ve never seen this before so we played it.

Then hit the air hockey table. Luckily we didn’t have any club colors on.

Onward! To the bunny hutch.

Creeping.

Read the fine print at the bottom.

Bow to your new prophet.

July 4th! People are not happy with the new meters.

After watching many hours of the Twilight Zone marathon we headed over to Chads.

And I took some pictures that made people look crazy.

Really crazy.

Gnar Tom after the Wilson szechuan to end the holiday weekend.

The middle of summer has passed.

My newest adventure: Parking Block Publishing.
