Weather:
Everyday the humidity builds up until the sky can’t take it anymore and it spits down furious soaking drops. Then it stops and its more humid. To sum up: 200 percent humidity.

If you see USA Kevin buy him a beer, it’s his birthday.

Posting will be light for the next couple weeks as my entire family is in town. It’ll be hectic and time will be tight but its been a long time. Good stuff.

Thanks to everyone who made it out for Tryst. There was a good turn out and I sold a couple pieces and got to see some people I hadn’t seen in months. I even made it home before midnight. Here’s a few pictures from Friday the 13th.

Tryst - Looming Gown

I can’t remember who made this but it looks like a ton of work. I like how it was looming over the crowd.

Tasha at Tryst

Tasha next to her photos. It was hot in the gallery area so everyone got a little glisteny. She did an awesome job getting this organized. She’s currently relaunching her site with a redesign and new photos. Something to look forward to.

Tryst - Paintings by Maria Layus

Both of these paintings are by Maria Layus. I think she has a show coming up in September and I’m looking forward to seeing more of her stuff. For now check out her work here.

Tryst - Stencil Work and Revolution Artists

The top row is mine. I think they looked pretty good framed and displayed. The bottom row is from the artists at Revolution Tattoo. They also have a gallery space with some interesting monthly shows.

Tryst

I think I’ll end the Tryst photo’s with this one. On to the skate pics.

Art in the dumpster

Woke up Saturday Morning and found this on the alley on the way to Wilson. It kinda looks like someone happened open this dresser and decided to paint this guy on it. It was unexpected. I assume it got picked up by a junk truck. I hope it found a good home.

Reserved

Alva’s always got a spot on the lurk ledge.

Alex has wax hands

Alex cleaned the coping with his hands. Really? Somebody needs that much wax?

summer nights at Wilson

Slow shutter speed, BBQ Mike’s grill and DC Chris with some pop. Wish I would’ve caught it.

DC Chris - Nose Pick in the Rain - Wilson - Chicago

It was raining. DC Chris leaves in a few weeks. It’s been a good summer.

Blurry - Eric Barrier wallie

Another shutter speed miss. Eric polejamming over the barrier the hard way.

arm break at Wilson

In the background the paramedics are wheeling out an old guy who was riding pink girls bike. Broken arm. The kid on the right is stoked.

Over here a few pictures and puzzles are finished but I’m saving those for the September show. Also got some sort of possible publication in the works and the food zine is still coming together. Stuff for the future.

More vacation please.

Weather:
Hottest days of the year. The heat index was past the mercury.

I finished up all my stuff for Tryst. Hope to see you there on Friday. I’m pretty happy with the stuff I put in but I’m mostly excited seeing everyone elses work.

Yup it was hot but Saturday was fun. Mostly just lurking. Hit up this odd car accident spot. I got gum on my shoe and Mark slide it.

I like this picture, it sums up Saturday pretty well.
Mark and Alex at Disney with heat exhaustion

Sunday it was extra hot and I had planned a nostalgia szechuan at 31st. I have a ton of good memories before Wilson was built when Burnham was the park not “the old park.” Sometimes things look better in fond memories and the reality is not as awesome. Somebody needs to give the place a little TLC.
cracks in the transition seams
Lou came out, Spencer did speed laps, Juan was there early, Circustrick drove, Alex made us late, and Calabro couldn’t find parking. Mark actually enjoyed himself. I think the heat got to me. I still had bullshitting about the old days.
the platform ledge is coming apart

Happy birthday and congratulations to Charlie and his new bride.

It’s raining and that’s good for my legs. They’re starting to get beat.
