Weather:
En fuego? The next two days are going to hover in the high 90s. Stay hydrated.

My sisterfriend Natasha Gornik (possibly NSFW) has revamped, redesigned and relaunched her site.

Shawn Hebrank relocated to Minnesota and appears to be settling in well. The scratch board bird is outstanding.

Jimmy still gets weird.

That’s about it on the artwork front for this week. Chris Smith sent over some amazing woodblock prints but I didn’t hear back about posting them, so hopefully you’ll see those next week. I’m busy on the usual stuff. It’ll be finished and posted in the future.

Saturday DC Chris put together a BBBQ at Wilson. Stacks of dogs, marinated burgers, tasty beverages….

David - Shut Up and Skate

Ironically David never shuts up. I’m suprised he hasn’t broken the cast off yet.

Wilson BBQ Chicago

Mark supplied the grill and turned the dogs.

Laid back meat charring.

Streetplants in the grass - Doubles

There was a random streetplant szechuan and while the food cooked everyone skated the curb. It was funny to see people skate the roughest ground and do curb tricks with a full skatepark 20 feet away.

Mark ollies into the quarter at Wilson

After the food was finished and digested everyone hit the park for some sundown skating. Here’s Mark ollieing into the quarter.

Hurricane in the flowbowl at Wilson

I love this picture. Scott doing a hurricane on the extension while the crew looks on. Unfortunately he didn’t get it first try. Click on the picture to see him landing it on the next try.

DC Chris and his niece

DC Chris and his niece with assorted BGP lurkers.

Red sunset over the city

Lou always has to remind me what the guys name was but I’m pretty certain the painting guy with the white man fro’ who used to be on channel 11 would’ve painted this perfect in like twenty minutes.

Kingpins got broke, tricks got learned, food was consumed, laughs, jokes, all around good stuff. Here’s a chopped up video. If your at work hit mute. Next time show up.

Roadtrip Thursday.

squidhead convention?

Weather:
Perfectly cloudy with just enough humidity.

Like I said last week, posting will be light for a while because of familial obligations but I wanted to throw up some photos from the weekend.

Saturday…

chopped and screwed uptown style

Screwed and chopped, Uptown style.

Dusty - Wilson Skatepark - Chicago

His names either Dusty or Dustin and he drove down from Milwaukee just to skate for 45 minutes. He made those 45 minutes count. No warm up just straight to business.

Lake Shore Drive at dusk

Heading north on Lake Shore Drive at dusk.

Sunday…

Ryan - Backtail - Wilson - Chicago

Ryan with a backtail early in the morning.

Crash dips a backsmith - Wilson - Chicago

John with a dipped back smith with the rad Japanese Skull Skates guy looking on.

Odd rainbow

Some sort of rainbow/northern lights that I was hyped up on.

It’s a good crew of locals this summer.

All day.
