Weather:
It’s either 85 or violently raining. Usually it’s 85 and shining all day while I’m at work and the minute I leave the clouds come rolling in.
This weekend is going to be busy.
Friday you should show up to the EXP Boardshow (click for flyer with address info and times) with some money or at least ready for a night of it. I just finished my board and I still need to get it over there along with Ricky’s. I’m pretty happy with it cause I tried something different. I’ll post up photo’s of my plank and the opening next week.
Saturday you should show up to Tony Francesconi’s (click for flyer with address info and times) to view some serious photography. Tony’s one of the best behing the lens and I’m looking forward to seeing what he selected from the stacks of pictures he’s piled up.
Afterwards my wife celebrated her birthday with a bit of karoke. So warm up your vocal chords.
What’s coming up?
My old friend Bernard Klevickas is taking part in an outdoor sculpture festival in Brooklyn next month. If your on the east coast make it there and take some pictures for me.
As for the food zine I’m still waiting on a few last minute contributions and at this rate it’ll be out around July.
So I finally got around to correcting my camera and now the pictures don’t look like it’s snowing. I’m really happy with these and let me tell you, it’s not the skill of the photographer it’s what you get to shoot. So if I haven’t said it before, thanks to everyone who get’s shot. That’s pretty much what’s what.
Chris is here from DC for the summer. Smith without a second thought.

Ryan with a tailslide at the same spot. He’s pretty serious about charging stuff. This picture was taken after he suffered a crippling fence strain from a biker backing up into him.

Suhail horks one and Morley gets background props.

There’s better picture of this where Nate’s completely in frame but I like this one. Popsicle. Typical early morning szechuan.

Scotty Karate gives everyone a hard time. He even corrected me about the proper angle to shoot this picture. He’s probably hating on this right now. I don’t know. Those kids are pretty stoked. Pivot fakie in the amoeba.

Charlie with a properly popped blunt to fakie. That’s no joke. One try. One picture. It all came out pretty perfect. Like I said the people you take pictures of make it happen. I’m just trying to give it the respect it deserves.

I miss skating with these guys. It was good to see them out on the lurk.

Next week? Probably more pictures. Some art. Opening photos.
I keep meaning to add all these photos and revamp the polaroid page but it’s summer and it’s hard to sit inside.
Get out and get some. I’ll be out there.
