Weather:
This time it should be spring for the rest of it. Glad I don’t live on the east coast. It appears they are having some type of weather apocalypse.

Kelly Lynn Jones is a pretty swell artist and entrepreneur. She just started up a blog for her online store little paper planes. Book mark it.

TMNK makes good stuff in NYC and gives some of it away. He’s come up with an interesting way for people to own something he made at a fair price. Stop by and place a bid. Affordable art is one of the best things in the world.

Make the World Go Away is now a one night show as the Butcher Block space is closing. If you can make it, do a bit of artlurking and then hit up the full pipe. It’s open all night.

Sam broke his wrist so that put a damper on the weekend. Heal quick so we can hit up those spots.

I did go check out the Made in Taiwan show at EXP. Taiwanese Art Institute students. Good stuff. It felt like traveling across the sea.

This is where they make the meat. Kind of ominous.

This where you go after you get done making the meat.

In my experience they don’t put up signs like that as a pre-emptive measure. There’s gotta be some history there.

Short post this week. Experimenting with shirt reliefs or shadows or something.

Szechuans on Saturday and Sunday.

Hope your food’s going well.

Weather:
Disappointing.

This is coming soon. You can see the Britney giving birth sculpture. I’m going to try and check out some of the free stuff if the weather doesn’t get better.

In more important art news, one of my absolute favorites Lisa Romero has redesigned her site Paper Bullet. Visit and poke around for awhile. It’s filled with perfectly puzzling pictures and pretties.

The weather made me stay inside and recharge. I finished a few pictures up and started a few more. I did venture out to visit the one armed man.

And the sand cats.

They got tired from capering about.

I also learned that it’s okay to put pennies on train tracks.

The law of smooshed coins

All in all a very nice weekday zoo visit.

On Sunday I took this photo and I have to say it’s easily the best picture I’ve ever taken. Easter morning, a bear hat and a dashiki.

Alex Cohen, crook at Wilson. Easter morning.

Alex has been painting and he shared this one. I like it cause it’s raw and he’s already got some sort of a style.

Finally a lovely example of the long lost art of window painting. This place has tons of them.
