Weather:
82 with sun poisoning. Time for lemonade.

Happy birthday Ricky! When you see him do some Flashdance singing. He gave me a kick-ass picture he made and went down to Artopolis on Saturday. “A lot of art. Some really good stuff and some that was like why is that art.” I was supposed to go on Sunday with Juan and Danielle but I got skin radiation and flaked out.

Don Pendleton updates and offers paintings and prints for sale.

I finally sent off my Shapetionary shapes so now it’s on to new stuff. I’m working on a large scale rabbit painting and some random portraits. I’ll let you know how they work out.

Skated Wilson with Mark both Saturday and Sunday in the morning before he had to head to the coal mine. When we showed up Saturday the lakefront was closed. We got there eventually but that was just the beginning of the weirdness.

In the midst of all this Jackson went upside down.

It’s possible there was a megafrisbee.

That was Saturday.

On Sunday, Spencer and Kevin showed up. I haven’t seen either one in months. Here’s Spencer fueling up for getting down.

Spencer versus Rice Krispy brick

Kevin’s been finding gems and so a good crew of us headed over to enjoy this.

I’m looking forward to more Sunday szechauns. Spencer does one of them tricks he does and goes backwards.

Beatdown and burnt, I thought I was done but down the street isn’t that far. Sometimes the pictures are there waiting.

Alex going Manson style.

Alex and Xander having fun.

The Mayweathe/De La Hoya fight is this weekend and Freddie Roach is training. He’s one of my favorite people ever.

Here’s the test for a stencil I made of him a few years back.

Weather:
First sunburn of the year.

Not much to report. Just some pictures this week.

Stever going up and over with speed.

Stever Party Ollie

Here’s some old men and standing next to Lou a really old man. I’m not sure where this elderly asian gentleman in dress slacks came from but he spent a good amount of time watching the kidney skating. That guy loved skateboarding. Maybe he’d never seen it before but he watched with a mixture of serious amazement and giggling delight. That guy made my weekend.

Happened upon Dave Eggers secret reading factory.

Bland Store

I haven’t read any of his books but he sure can title them. Saw him speak a few years back at Metro. It was an author night and the lady before him read from her book which was fine and all but he told tales and sometimes thats what you have to do on a stage. Its tough to get the crowd with turning pages and quiet tales of slowly passing southern ladies in the autumn. You gotta bring the razzle dazzle.

Window sized paintings of the candidates. Would have missed them if I wasn’t staring up at the sun.
