Weather:
Really beautiful before it started to spit down sleet and little stinging snow BB’s.

Wilson was partly shoveled and it was in the mid-40′s so we hit it up on Thursday night. The ledges were skateable. The bowl was not.

Berto was there skating the dry section of the flowbowl. I haven’t seen him in a couple months.

I was starting to get a full sweat going then my bearing blew apart and my wheel fell off.

Friday night I got my hands dirty with deliciousness. Allison is not much for the rib ordering but every so often she’ll compromise and let me get a slab.

Calabro’s putting together a one night memorial/benefit to honor his friend Witkin who just passed away. Come by with some money. It’s going to a good cause. Not sure if I’m going to make it down but I’m certainly going to try. If I do, I’ll post up the pictures next week.

Mark and I dropped off our pictures on Saturday. On the way we passed this rusty leg installation.

Rusty Legs in the Park

This is what Mark contributed. It’s one of my favorites.

This is what I came up with.

wiktins by Tim Pigott

These two pictures are available for purchase at a reasonable price along with a bunch of other peoples stuff. It’s a good cause and should be a good time.

Juan’s got a new blog up and rolling. Meet him in the Dollar Bin and enjoy some well crafted musical essayism.

Polly sent me a package of awesomeness this week that made me grin.

Lou got rid of the clown car and got a new lego car.

Don’t forget to vote on Tuesday.

Weather:
Last week it snowed so crazy that they had to close down Lake Shore Drive. Today it’s warm enough for Alex to skate Wilson. By the end of the week it should be almost 50. I’m sure it’s going to flip-flop and snow the week after that.

I made this puzzle a while back but never posted it. This picture on the other hand is from last week. Please enjoy them both at your leisure. This will probably be the last pictures I post for a stretch. I’m trying to start piling them up and not handing them out. We’ll see if that lasts.

An interview with Jimmy.

On Saturday I went to look at stuff with Tasha Gornik. I usually go look at stuff with her. I’ve known here forever but I usually spell her name wrong. She’s good to look at stuff with cause she understands powering through the crowds and doesn’t take it too serious. We can agree and frown at stupid things. So here she is after all the stuff looking.

First we went to the Museum of Contemporary Photography. Its free, at least Saturday it was. Lot’s of nice pictures of Japanese sex hotels and the sets of porns and some other good photographs involving magazines and modeling. I’d suggest going if those things are interesting to you. I was disturbed by the young girl who was wandering around with out here parents. But I guess its a museum so that stuff is art and not bad for young kids. Maybe I’m getting old and curmudgenly.

This has nothing to do with museums.

Splinters live here

After that we went to the Art Institute which for some reason is free for most of February. I like free but it was a Saturday and filled to rim with familys and other art loving folks. They’ve installed new sensors since the last time I was there. There nothing telling you about this but if you get to close it screeches. I think those guards are gonna lose there marbles after a full day of that. I like this painting the best.

Tasha was fond of this one.

There were others but like I said it was pretty packed and we plowed through the art enjoying. I took some other pictures but they’re even blurrier.

That’s it for this week. Here’s some snow. Almost done with it for this year.
