burn no bridges to stay warm

Weather:
Negative windchill. I got sick from the cold, sorethroat and all. Don’t be one of those people who tells me that you don’t get a cold from the cold. I wasn’t sick. The temperature hit the basement. Now I’m sick. Makes sense to me.

As predicted there’s a new picture, have a look when you get finished reading.

Last Saturday me and Circustrick went and dropped off our boards for this show. I’ll post up photos of the all finished works after the opening. Here’s one of the paintings in the January show. I’m really glad I got to see it cause this Joseph Wellington Turner fellow makes some serious paintings.

Lou suggested we go eat at a joint that looked like a used car lot. So we grubbed.

Tacos

At the time I thought it was weird but we finished eating and talked and waited and talked and they never brought they check. It was good cause between work and family and scheduling and life, we don’t get to hang out as much as we used to. Still I’m used to “get you in, get you out” food. Later I saw Lou and he explained thats how they do it. They want you to hang out and converse. It was different.

Grubbing in Pilsen

Sunday I broke down and hit an indoor park. I really liked the slippery bank thing. I didn’t like hitting the cold floor with frozen toes. Pete drove and Juan broke a gas pump.

Checked out the free day at the MCA.

slight snow

Not much to say about the exhibits. The only one that really floored me was stuck way off in the corner. They don’t have any info on the website and when we asked at the front desk they had to call around before they could tell us who it was. So if you go, ask where to find Shirin Neshat’s Turbulent and then go get disoriented.

After the museum I ate this marshmellow chicken thing. It wasn’t as good as I’d hoped.

Weather:
Hat, gloves, and ski mask.

The Bears are in the Superbowl. If you live in Chicago and this is news to you go to a Doctor. You got that memory problem because they’ve been hammering it pretty hard in the paper, tv news, the bus, and so on.

Chad posted this up on the Old Man site and it made my day. Wilson Ledge Sitter rocking the fishermans hat like Gortons.

Said and Done and Color put together a pretty spectacular issue.

Tony will be out attending Give Till It Hurts. Buy his board and shoes its for a good cause. Buy him beers. Also a good cause.

I finished up my board for the show next month over at Lou’s expGallery. I’ll get the details up next week.

I’m mostly done with a portait. I’ll post that in the next few days.

Sent some mail out, so if your looking for that look for it.

New stickers are here.

Time to eat Hot Fries.
