Weather:
High 40′s, breezy, and often dry. Besides a day of rain and cold here and there, its been extrapleasant. High five global temperature shifts!

Tomorrow the holidays end and I’ll get back to updating on a more consistant basis. I’m still catching up with the Christmas mail-outs and sketching on the flipbook but more pictures and puzzles should be up soon. For now here’s some photos…

Owl Tree

I picked up an ancient polaroid camera, so I’ve been having fun experimenting with light and overexposure. Sometimes not knowing what you’re doing works out.

Christmas Eve Szechuan

The morning szechuan on Christmas Eve.

Eye Contact

An unknown installation I enjoyed while Christmas shopping. This year I waited until the last weekend and it went suprisingly well. One store was so slow the guy behind the counter wouldn’t let us leave. He just wanted to keep telling us about his travel plans and who he was giving gifts too.

Knuckles

Here are a few of the hands I gave out. Unfortunately I didn’t scan or photograph any of the burning Christmas tree pictures. I hope everyones holidays were safe and suprising.

Secret agent year.

Keep up the good work.

Weather:
Suprising. It’s actually been dry and warm. Well warm for December. At least it’s not subzero anymore.

Yup, I’ve been bogged down by the holiday season. I did manage to make some pictures. The first two are the latest. I hope you like them cause I do.

Missed a few birthdays in my lack of updates so I’m stuffing them all here. Happy birthday to Circustrick and his daughter Lily. I hope you whooped it up proper and busted out the slot-car track.

Tony Francesconi just had his birthday as well. I missed the 4seasons trip cause I’m a hibernating bum. His stuff’s going to be in the Give Till it Hurts show out in Cali. I’m looking forward to seeing what he comes up with cause he’s got a unique way of looking at the world and a pretty solid sense of laughter.

Oddballer Jason Leisge has jumped back into the world of internet rambling. If you are out and about in Portland take in the New Scenery show. Looks like him and his crew put together a pretty fine wall.

Another old friend of mine, Bernie, is making serious sculpture out in NY. I still have something he made 13 years ago. It rules.

A new friend has transplanted himself from the west coast into this fine wilderness they call the midwest. Mr. McGovern needs to start making the morning szechuans when the winter turns spring.

Finally, Ricky Cozzolino is relocating over there on the other side of the planet. He’s been contributing steadily over the summer and recently has been throwing some really cool stuff on SketchbookMondays. You can find him here and here. Adventure away!

So here’s what I’ve been up to besides constructing and sending out holiday packages.

Quarterpipe sessions

Skulking around the abandoned bread factory. (I saw a bobcat there)

levened

Karaoke gone bad.

high fiving

Less Holiday insanity for everyone.

Sleep late and stay warm.
