like uncooked meat

Weather:
Coolish with stupid rain(not to be confused with the purple variety)

Still waiting for the last president. I’ve been assured it will arrive yesterday everyday for the last week. Things are looking good so far. Artwise, check out chicken on this weeks SBM. I’m really excited about this show coming up. It’s a good concept that’s been done well. Here’s a photo in that same spirit…

Thanks for sharing

Ricky Cozzolino sent over some of his artwork. He seems to travel a bit so I’m glad I caught him while he was here. Can’t wait to see the octopus paintings he’s been making. I’m not good at writing introductions…

Nicholas Peterson sent over a nice package of stuff from Portland. He’s got some work going here and there in shows. Next week I’ll post up some of what he sent and try and let you know where to go see his work. In the distant future I’ll be putting a page of all the usual submitters so you can view thier work in it’s full glory. But that’ll be in the distant future, my brother comes from Taiwan this week and it’s still pretty warm, so look for it after the snow.

Went to Northbrook on Sunday. Here’s some nonskate photos and thoughts.

They do have picnic tables and batting cages

We showed up early, but not early enough.

Lou with future face scars

Lou skates more than most.

Board for height comparison purposes

Some things are much too small, some are suprisingly oversized. This is much too waxed.

standard park shot
All in all a fine concrete addition to the midwest. Will I be making the trek? Maybe some mornings but Wilson is still just down the street. Northbrook has bees, park benches(with bees), a kid who’s job it is to monitor, and of course the batting cages. Wilson has the lurker ledge. The other day I was sitting there watching a hippie hobo hacky-sack after too many free energy drinks while the tale of Rapunzal was recounted, and Alex was renamed Josh then renamed Turbo cause the kids at his school have Hu$tle shaved in the side of thier heads. Later that same hippie hobo retreated to his car and had a solo drum circle as restraunt politics were debated, and someone did donuts. I don’t think they can replicate that in a town with such big lawns.

Best meal this month.
